AG Neovo Takes Leadership Role In "Green Products" Revolution

We remain committed to continually reducing our impact on the world's natural environment.AG Neovo, a leading provider of LCD displays, gets a jump-start on the development and manufacturing of RoHS compliant LCD monitors. As of January 2006, six months ahead of the July 1, 2006 deadline, all products designed by AG Neovo have met the directives on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electronic equipment.

RoHS (restriction of use of certain hazardous substances) is a firm directive that will ban the placing on the EU market of new electronic equipment containing more than the agreed levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants as of July 1, 2006.

"We remain committed to continually reducing our impact on the world’s natural environment," says David Pi, President and CEO of AG Neovo, "this commitment is more than just meeting standards, it’s about directing all corporate activities with the environment’s best interest in mind."

Increased recycling will limit the total quantity of waste going to final disposal. Producers will be responsible for taking back and recycling electrical and electronic equipment. This will provide incentives to design products in an environmentally more efficient way, which takes waste management aspects fully into account.

"For us, it means that we need to develop new products such that they reduce space, materials and power consumption as well," says Kyd Wang, International Brand Manager of AG Neovo, "in turn, this allows our customers to continually reduce their impact on the environment." AG Neovo is fully supportive of the various industry efforts throughout the world to phase out the use of undesirable elements from electronic equipment and manufacturing processes. "The required recycling rate is 65%, yet we find that the AG Neovo products exceed 90% in most cases," says Mr. Wolfram Wagner, Division Director of TUV Rheinland Taiwan, "to us this demonstrates a corporate attitude that is proactively "green" rather than reactive to governing directives."

The majority of AG Neovo product designs incorporate recycle friendly materials like glass and metal, which both increase the lifespan of the product and make it easier to comply with governing directives with regards to disposal.
