DF-55 Dual-Sided Display Optimises Campus Communication at University of Nebraska, Omaha

Digital signage is rapidly turning into an essential tool for efficient communication in campus environments. AG Neovo is delighted to announce a new digital signage project at the University of Nebraska of Omaha (UNO), using the DF-55 dual signage display and kiosk. The DF-55 dual-sided display and kiosk will be used for event notification in UNO’s Mammel Hall.

It takes up a small footprint while at the same time providing a large high-resolution dual display for our digital signage. I also appreciate how stable the unit is for its size.

David Nielsen, Assistant Dean of UNO’s College of Business Administration

Mammel Hall houses UNO’s College of Business Administration (CBA). The college is the region’s leading education provider in business and accounting. Mammel Hall, built in 2010, was designed with small rooms for team projects as well as open areas and private settings for independent study. The 120,000-square-foot building is equipped with the ultimate technology to enhance learning experiences. Mammel Hall is also recognized as the first LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) gold-certified academic building in the state of Nebraska.

Situated in the main entrance hall, the DF-55 has received positive feedback from students. The University expects to add more units to the campus in the future. “The AG Neovo display fits our building perfectly,” said David Nielsen, Assistant Dean of UNO’s College of Business Administration. “It takes up a small footprint while at the same time providing a large high-resolution dual display for our digital signage. I also appreciate how stable the unit is for its size.”

The DF-55 by AG Neovo is a dedicated commercial grade digital display and is fully qualified for CBA requirements. Similar models with one-sided and two-sided touch capability will be released soon. On all models, the freestanding and movable floor-stand on the kiosk casters gives the flexibility to reposition anytime, anywhere. The dual-sided screens allow students or administrators from either side of the building to reach information.

In addition to the auto power off-and-on function in the event of signal loss, DF-55 also features Full HD resolution with 450 nits brightness and high contrast ratio of 3000:1. It permits DF-55 to deliver quality images to accommodate various indoor implementations. The embedded metal housing and portable floor stand are also essential for public environments. The HDMI connections further make IPC or media player integration easier.
